WORLD CUP STAR PERFECT EXAMPLE FOR ALL YOUNG ATHLETES WITH AMBITION
We all know that getting a good start in life is a major bonus. If there was ever a a good example of this, it has to be Nicole Arthur, one of our greatest Slalom Skiers of all time, in spite of her young years.
Nicole’s grandfather was actually responsible for bringing our sport of Waterskiing to Scotland back in 1952. She started her career on the water at just eight years of age at the famous Slamannan Village site in Scotland – in very cold water ! Her father Arthur is a gifted Waterski Coach and by the age of 16, she had already achieved more than most. Off the water, she was also smart enough at school to qualify for University of Stirling entry at this young age. She then successfully took a BA in Accountancy and Finance. At the same time, between the age of 16 and today, with the help of her husband Aidan, another gifted Coach, she set British Slalom Records at U18, U21 and Open. She also earned no less than TWELVE podium awards at all the biggest Waterski events in the World – and you can hear the details on today’s Interview . Her appearances at our World Cup Stops in Dubna, Russia and Putrajaya, Malaysia confirmed once again that the name of Nicole Arthur will shine very brightly in our headlines for many years to come. For all our young Waterski hopefuls around the world, Nicole is the perfect example of what can be achieved both on and off the water with a very supportive family and good coaching. She is truly a worthy Star Monday Interview athlete !
