Good news for the World Cup series. Today, the Mayor of Zagreb in Croatia, Milan Bandic, agreed to meet the World Cup Team and representatives of the Croatian Water Ski Federation (CWSF), to discuss the possibility of hosting a World Cup Stop at the downtown Jarun Lake. This followed a World Cup site inspection yesterday by Kuno Ritschard and Des Burke-Kennedy. As an active long distance runner, the Mayor has a keen interest in expanding the sporting interests of Zagreb and especially where they can take advantage of the first class facilities already available here in the City. The City has also recently hosted a Tennis Stop of the ATP plus one of Europes largest International Handball Finals.
