Her winners list includes U21 PanAm Gold medals in Tricks, Slalom, Jump and Overall, Tricks Gold in the World University Championships, National USA Gold in Slalom, Tricks, Jump and Overall, CanAm Gold in Slalom, Tricks, Jump and Overall – plus a Junior Girls National Jump Record and a Junior US Masters Course Record.

To get back to Alex and determination and bravery ……
Alex recently competed in the USA Collegiate Waterski Nationals. In the Jump event, as she cut far too late to the Ramp, she passed on her first attempt. She was even later on her second and this ended with a very spectacular crash which shocked the spectators. Surprisingly, she was back on the water for jump number three. After some bank-side treatment, she actually took the Jump title on that last extraordinary effort. The word extraordinary is not an exaggeration. A trip to the Hospital later that evening revealed a dislocated shoulder, a wrist fracture, a separated AC joint, cuts to her knuckles and a serious head cut which had to be stapled shut ! At this point, you and I would take a few weeks off, stay in bed and eat grapes.
Alex and that big crash !
OUCH - Head staples really hurt !
