CONGRATULATIONS – Now that we are just a few days from the end of another year, the International Water Ski Federation (IWSF) today announced the top awards of the year. We are delighted to see that both the male and female SKIERS and RIDERS of 2008 also happen to be four of the most outstanding Waterski and Wakeboard World Cup athletes. TWENTY SIX WORLD CUP STOPS COMPLETED – AND A LOT MORE TO COME By any standard, as we approach the end of 2008, it has been another great year for our WATERSKI AND WAKEBOARD WORLD CUP series. The hard work and very generous support of our sponsors, event organisers, World Cup officials and many fans around the world, made it possible to create 26 World Cup miracles to date. TWO SLALOM GREATS Parrish and LaPoint - Two Slalom Towers Chris Parrish USA has to be happy with his 2008 Slalom season. Not only has he kept his World Slalom Record intact for another year, but he also had a first class World Cup season. Our hope for 2009 is that Chris will be able to attend all the World Cup Slalom Stops as his missing the Dubna Russia World Cup Stop this year may well have prevented him from taking the World Cup season title. However, don’t underestimate the ability of Jodi Fisher GBR to make it FOUR season World Cup titles in succession.

Ryan and Jeanette Fitz World Cup Star Ryan Fitts USA is now a married man. Ryan and Jeanette have just tied the knot in Barbados. Stuart Marston took some great photos of the happy occasion and here is the proof ! Ryan has had a fantastic World Cup year in taking a Silver Medal in Jump in Dubna Russia – and also a Silver Medal at the Masters in the USA. Born in Houston Texas his long list of Jump victories includes  Collegiate National Champion, US Open Champion, London Night Jump Champion and Austrian Masters Champion.
