Olivier Fortamps BEL has been one of the most consistent Shortboard performers since we first established our World Cup Series 33 Stops ago. Now Olivier will face one of the biggest challenges of his life tomorrow as he faces surgery for a very special reason.

Olivier’s infant son, Antoine, urgently needs a liver transplant in order to have a normal life as he grows up. His Dad, Olivier Fortamps, has faced many sporting challenges before and with great success and now he will face an even bigger one tomorrow, Wednesday, April 11th. He has decided to donate part of his own liver to his son and all is now set for tomorrow’s surgery.

Olivier shares the World Cup Podium with Aliaksei Zharnasek BLR and Jimmy Siemers USA

We know that all of Olivier’s World Cup fans and friends will say a prayer and keep Olivier and Antoine in their thoughts tomorrow. Lets wish them both every success and a quick return to good health. Hopefully, we will also see Olivier back with us on the World Cup Podium in the not too distant future.

Good luck Olivier and Antoine
