PLEASE NOTE : LANGKAWI MALAYSIA MOVED TO 2016

With WORLD CUP number 43 just a few weeks away in the beautiful City of Mandurah in Western Australia #MandurahWorldCup and #ActionSportsGames, this is the start of a very exciting adventure which is heading our way this year. Who knows, we may even reach the magical 50 Stops mark very soon and that will be a really historical “first” for our sport as far as global events are concerned.

Here are the confirmed #WORLDCUP Stops as of February 10th 2015 – and we may even see more as we move ahead !

It is also great this year to see the fantastic mix of events – Wakeboard, Slalom, Shortboard, Jump, Cable Slalom, Cable Tricks and Cable Jump, and Cable Wakeboard.

Our President, Kuno Ritschard and our good friend Hanifah Yoong Yin Fah, had a meeting recently in Malaysia with Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Dato Seri Aseh Bin Che Mat, President of PERBADANAN PUTRAJAYA. It was agreed that a Waterski World Cup Stop will take place at that magnificent Putrajaya site from 9-11 October 2015. The other great news is that the disciplines will include Slalom, Shortboard and Jump. We all remember the earlier fantastic World Cup Stops at this venue and the first class facilities and greatly look forward to our return.

President Kuno Ritschard also recently met Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Khalid Bin Ramli, the CEO of the Langkawi Development Authority to discuss a World Cup Stop on the Malaysian Island of Langkawi during the Water Festival in May 2015. Further details will be announced later.

With a total of 41 successful World Cup Stops already completed, we can only guess as to where we will celebrate our 50th !
