Good news for all our World Cup fans. At the Waterski World Championships in Calgary Canada,
Marie Vympranietsova GRE suffered a serious knee injury in the Jump event. Sometimes this can bring a promising Waterski career to an end. However, for Marie, as a very fit athlete, the news is all good.
As a real star in our World Cup Jump series, Marie and World Champion Ageliki Andriopoulou GRE have both kept
Marie Vympranietsova GRE making a strong recovery
the Greek flag flying at many of our World Cup Stops around the globe. A torn ACL, plus 1st degree Lateral damage, plus 2nd degree Medial damage, all amounted to quite an challenge for the Surgeon. Thankfully, Marie has now completed the surgery successfully and is already starting her recuperation routines. Cycling and Swimming are a major part of her routine in the coming weeks and we all look forward to having Marie back in the World Cup team and ready for the 2010 World Cup season. Well done Marie and we wish you a speedy and full recovery.
