This is a big week for Waterskiing in Croatia. The City of Zagreb is hosting the Europe-Africa-MiddleEast (EAME) Annual Congress at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel. Representatives from over 25 Countries will be represented. In parallel with this, the World Cup Team organised today with the Croatian Water Ski Federation a special Press Conference to introduce the Media to the prospect of hosting a full World Cup Stop at the downtown Jarun Park Lake. This conference was covered by HRT, the largest National TV Broadcaster, and Radio 101, the leading Radio Broadcaster in Croatia.
Attending the World Cup Press conference today were Arsen Sihtar, President, Croatian Waterski Federation (CWSF), Pavle Zobundzija, CSWF Executive Board Member, Zlatan Vranaricic, CWSF Marketing – and the World Cup Team of Kuno Ritschard, IWSF President, and Des Burke-Kennedy, IWSF Marketing & Media Chairman. Alain Amade, EAME President also attended. A meeting has also been arranged tomorrow with the Mayor of Zagreb for the World Cup Team to discuss how best and when to bring a World Cup Stop to Croatia for the first time. Knowing that each World Cup TV Show is distributed to over 500 million viewers offers a great opportunity to cites such as Zagreb to show the global TV audience exactly what this beautiful area has to offer and in a very exciting setting. As usual, all the latest World Cup news will be reported right here on waterskiandwakeboardworldcup.com
The possible site of a World Cup Stop at Jarun Lake was also inspected. This is almost perfect as a Stop venue – graded banks, sheltered water, high quality spectator facilities – and it is all located in the Zagreb downtown area.
